Why a Physician-Led Brain Health Consultation Matters

Questions about memory, focus, or cognitive efficiency often arise before standard testing provides definitive answers. At the same time, individuals with a family history of dementia or existing cognitive diagnoses may seek deeper understanding beyond routine care.

Too often, assessments occur in fragments β€” isolated tests without clinical integration or longitudinal context. NexCerebrum was created to offer a physician-led consultation model that emphasizes thoughtful interpretation, clinical judgment, and context rather than standalone results.

Who These Consultations Are Designed For
  • Individuals noticing changes in memory, focus, or mental clarity
  • Those with a family history of Alzheimer’s disease or other dementias
  • Individuals seeking a prevention-oriented, wellness-focused brain health consultation
  • Those with an existing cognitive diagnosis seeking supportive biological insight
  • People who prefer a physician-led, integrative consultation rather than fragmented testing
A Physician-Led, Integrative Consultation Model

All NexCerebrum consultations are physician-led. Clinical evaluation, interpretation, and disclosure are conducted by a licensed physician and considered in the context of medical history, cognitive function, and individual circumstances.

This approach prioritizes careful interpretation and informed discussion rather than isolated data points. Results are reviewed as part of a broader clinical conversation focused on understanding, planning, and support.

Our Consultation Pathways

NexCerebrum offers two distinct consultation pathways. The appropriate pathway is determined through clinical review and individual context. Both pathways are delivered as extended physician consultations.

Pathway 1: NEX Consult Pathway

For individuals without a confirmed dementia diagnosis who are seeking a physician-led brain health consultation focused on understanding cognitive function, modifiable risk factors, and overall brain health.

This pathway is intended as a supportive, wellness-focused consultation and does not serve as a standalone diagnostic assessment.

High-level inclusions (non-technical)

  • Comprehensive physician-led brain health consultation
  • Structured cognitive assessment to support clinical discussion
  • Advanced biological context relevant to brain health
  • Brain imaging where clinically appropriate
  • Integrated interpretation with guidance across key brain health pillars, including sleep, physical activity, cardiovascular health, nutrition, stress, and cognitive engagement

Pathway 2: NEXDx Consultation Pathway

For individuals with a confirmed diagnosis of dementia, mild cognitive impairment, or another cognitive disorder who are seeking supportive biological clarification within the context of an existing diagnosis.

High-level inclusions (non-technical)

  • Focused physician consultation
  • Advanced biological context
  • Interpretation within the framework of an established diagnosis
  • Discussion of supportive monitoring and care considerations

Important note: This pathway does not include brain imaging and is intended as a supportive, wellness-focused consultation, not a standalone diagnostic assessment.
